Boudoir 
As the light fades, the ladies retreat to the inner quarters. The oil lamps and candelabra are lit, casting a soft glow over silk gloves, lace sleeves, and richly dyed bodices. As cards are dealt and as fingers fall on the ivory of a grand piano, the rooms fill with a perfume of citrus oil and vanilla. This fragrance mirrors the conversations of those same Victorian women: sometimes sweet, and sometimes cutting.
